We love staying here. The location is perfect for staying in Charleston. Plenty of places nearby places to walk to but the access door in the lobby to High Cotton is a bonus. The suites have plenty of room. The suites as well as the rest of the resort are very clean. The staff are professional and have that southern friendliness you would expect. One added bonus is the courtyard where you can just hang out and relax.

My husband and I love staying at Bluegreen The Lodge Alley. This vacation we stayed one week. We had a great time! Charelston is one of the most beautiful cities and so many fantastic restaurants and places to shop. We always have fun even though we are not able to do things like we used to. It's so great that High Cotton is connected so we didn't have to go outside to go eat. Loved it!

Perfect location to be in walking distance of the best dining and nightlife spots. The rooms are charming and spacious, with very high ceilings and a fireplace. Comfortable beds, too.

Staff has always been friendly when we have stayed here. We love the location as it is close to the water front park and it is right in the middle of the historic downtown area. The resort itself is in a historical cotton warehouse. The rooms are rustic, but are nice.

Amazing staff! Everyone was so helpful and pleasant to deal with. We valet parked and that was super easy. Ladies at the front desk kept us informed and happily provided an air cleaner and extra items.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. But the coffee was terrible, the windows were very dirty, and the floors were uneven. There were also no curtains over the windows, and the blinds let a lot of light yet. The noise was to be expected in this part of town, but there could have been better insulation. Ultimately the main thing this hotel has going for it is the location.

I had such a wonderful stay at The Lodge at Valley Inn in Charleston! The rooms were absolutely beautiful, clean, comfortable, and full of charm. The staff went above and beyond, always friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. The location couldn’t have been more perfect; it was an easy walk to so many of Charleston’s landmarks, restaurants, and shops. This hotel really gives you the full Charleston experience. I absolutely will be returning on my next trip!

A wonderful experience from the check-in process, the Concierge, and the bellhop named Clarence, who was very friendly and very helpful! The location is fantastic, parking within a couple hundred feet, fantastic restaurants in the area and there’s really no need for the use of a car if you’re going to stay one or two days, you can just walk everywhere. The rooms are extremely spacious, I have a one bedroom unit with a full kitchen, dining, and living room combination with a fireplace, a window in the living room, a spacious bedroom with a huge closet plus a window. The bathroom is small, but the shower is quite lovely. So I am looking forward to my stay here.
